A press launch was held at the Bellever Youth Hostel on the 22nd October where interviews were given with the Western Morning News and photos taken of the team immersed in icy cold water and undertaking strength building/fitness exercises. We also launched a QajaQ (kayak) which may be needed if the condition of the ice is not great.
Earlier that day, I gave radio interviews to BBC Radio Devon (live on the Matt Woodley breakfast show) and a pre-recorded interview for Exeter FM. I also did an ‘as live’ interview from the top of Sharpitor for 3TR Radio after taking a break from climbing/abseiling.
On the 28th October, I was interviewed by the Mid Devon Advertiser and Dawlish Gazette.
I’ve also started to write a weekly blog for the Western Morning News, a widely circulated newspaper in the South West on my preparations for this challenge
